Oslo-based musician, arranger and composer, working in a wide variety of genres.

After several years of being an active guitarist and musician in Norway's jazz and pop scene, I have immersed myself in writing music for film, TV, and other visual media.

In addition to writing music for my own projects, I have written music for dance, theatre, documentaries and fiction shorts. During the master's programme in film composition at the Norwegian Academy of Music, I have had the opportunity to work with several up-and-coming filmmakers.

Whether the project needs a chamber score, an orchestral score or a more contemporary sound, I have the skillset, and a network of professional collaborators to make it happen.

LET'S TELL STORIES

It is a way of thinking. More specifically, it's a way of using music to aid the telling of a story. No matter the genre of film, TV-show, advertisement or podcast, the most important thing is the story being told.

The right music can make that story truly come to life in the hearts and minds of your audience.

MY PROCESS

My compositional approach is based on trying to understand the story as completely as possible. What are the themes? Who are the characters? What is the setting? Who is the target audience?

The style and genre of music will be decided upon after a thorough discussion with the team. The director's vision for the end product is always the most important starting point.

I will then produce several sketches aimed at "musical world building", so that we can zero in on what should be the sound world of the story.
